Our base build specification will deliver buildings with a BREEAM “Excellent” certification, optimising environmental performance and sustainability to the benefit of occupiers and owners. The aim is to minimise energy use and emissions. Erdgard and its design team has committed to deliver all buildings as Net Zero Carbon in construction, in line with the UK Green Building Council Framework.
We will prioritise brownfield site selection, and avoid development on sensitive and ecologically rich landscapes, creating a range of green spaces within projects and habitats that enhance biodiversity. We aim to provide spaces with a strong visual connection to the outside environment, to a design specification that promotes good health and wellbeing.
The aim is to minimise overall carbon emissions by optimising resource efficiency over a building’s entire life cycle. When requested we can carry out whole–life cycle cost analysis for occupiers to assist with project financial management and measure the added value of costs over the longer-term.

Designed to meet immediate and future occupier requirements, the Erdgard base build specification looks to deliver recognised performance and sustainability targets.
Built within a standard steel portal frame, the internal column spacing is designed to accommodate a wide range of racking solutions and the cladding provides improved thermal performance. The specification also incorporates rainwater recycling and attenuation, sustainable urban drainage, air source heat pumps, energy efficient lighting, electric vehicle infrastructure. We can integrate specific occupier fit-out requirements into the base build specification, including bespoke lighting, sprinkler and security systems.
